WHO WE ARE
Courage Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2007, in the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The objectives of the Foundation are: development of active civil society, popularization of the legislation, policies and strategies for development of the European Union, increasing the knowledge of Bulgarian citizens for the European integration process, supporting and expanding the opportunities of disadvantaged people: children in residential care, people living in bad social conditions, people with disabilities, youth. Courage Foundation implements the following activities for meeting the objectives: organising trainings, seminars for target groups, assisting organizations, companies, local and educational institutions for the application of European development policies, participation in programs of the European Union and European collaboration networks.
WHAT WE DO
The Foundation is a consolidated partner of NGOs from Italy, Romania, Hungary and other EU countries, with joint projects in the field of social integration of disadvantage groups through non formal education. Some of the projects implemented during the last years are: IRIS (International Roma Integration through Sport), ASTRA (Aging School Teachers Remain Active), ELVETE (Employer-lead VET in Europe), IRISES (International Roma Integration through Stakeholders Exchange of Successful Practices), mobility KA1 projects within Erasmus Plus Program. All projects are targeted to people from disadvantaged groups and build on good practices of EU partners. Project results have been disseminated through local and regional media reaching high audience of ordinary citizens.
